Lafkos Pelion Fotu guesthouse

We welcome you to Lafkos,
Lafkos is one of the few remaining authentic villages that has retained its tradition and architectural character in the Pilion region. A village that has stood the test of time and still remains a place where one can find peace and quiet. Built on the edge of the southern tip of Mt. Pilion at an altitude of 330 metres, it creates a crossroads between beaches on the Pagasitikos Bay and beach which lie on the Aegean.
Here the Fotu Art Hotel was created in a three storey mansion built in 1861. From October 2007 the hotel has opened its doors, after a five year renovation.
The name of the hotel is derived from the fact that each room has a individual color and character. The owner Christos Fotu also has a private collection of paintings and maps which represent the area of Thessalis and especially the area of Magnesia.
The decorating of the hotel was done by Eleni Alexiou, who has combined the modern with the traditional which gives a cozy and roomy feeling.
Besides being colourful and having excellent facilities the rooms also have excellent views of the Pagasitiko Gulf and the surrounding islands.
A pleasant stay would not be complete without a proper breakfast and the local women of Lafkos know better than any of us how to prepare delectable dishes that are serve fresh every morning.

Characteristics

Fotu art hotel as the name indicates it’s a quest house where all the spaces are well thought off and decorated. Aesthetical corners full of art and history. All of the art is a lifelong work of Christos Fotu an art collector, always inspired from the history of mount Pelion , the Thessaly region .
That’s the reason why all of the spaces are well thought of cause they are part of the owners love, and aspiration for art.

The sitting room on the lower level is worth talking about. The fire place
Is there to supplement the rock and wood surfaces that are in the wall and the ceiling. It’s an exceptional place to read book and enjoy tranquility .
