 I wish there was a severe weather warning and they issued a bad weather ban on sailing so that you won't leave and stay with me, said Panayiotis, a little boy that I met at Pandeli. From Platanos you can take the steps leading up the Castle of Leros climbing 500 steps! But worth to do it! Let's go there together to see everything from up there…. There are windmills too…. See how everything looks from up here… There's Pandeli, Vromolithos, Agia Marina, Alinda and Krithoni… I pause just to take my camera and I take snapshots of the windmills, the whitewashed houses, the beaches, the mansions, the churches; everything tones in with the white and blue…
How can you leave this island and give up so many scenes? How can you part from all those people who gave you their love and their hospitality generously?
I am sure that I am going to spend many summers in this island. |
