Serifos or Hora (capital) | Koutalas | Livadi | Megalo Livadi | Panagia

150 residents, located in the centre of the island and is 4 km from Hora.

The village, Panagia is built on the hill located in the middle of the island. Though the sea is a little way away, the panoramic view is both beautiful and awe inspiring. The houses are traditional and well kept and the rhythms of life are unrushed despite the tourist excesses.

Worth seeing

•The oldest church of the island is to be found at Panagia, and has rare murals from 950 AD.
•See the church of Agio Stefano and the Panagia of Skopianis.
•The deserted towns of Pirgos and Kentarhou, also known as Kallitso.
•Visit the picturesque fishing town of Sikamias that has a large sandy beach. There are few homes here, as the main function of the town is as the port of the villages Panagia and Galani.

Where to swim

•Enjoy the beach at Sikamia, the best sandy beach on Serifos.
•Swim at Platis Gialos, and the bay of Kentarhou, which is 15km from Hora and as you approach the last metres to the beach are only accessible on foot.
