Ithaca equals nostalgia

The name of this island has a nostalgic ring to it. It reminds people of homecomings and true ideals. Ithaca (or Thiaki as the locals call it), the homeland of Ulysses, is a picturesque island with a great nautical tradition and few tourists. Ithaca is almost split in two by the deep gulf of Molos, with a 500 m wide strip of land joining the two halves. It is a mountainous island with two great massifs dominating each half. The first one is Niritos, brimming with arbutus forests, and the second one is called Merovoulo and it‘s further down south.
