It has about 350 residents and it is located on the north side of the island, 49 km away from Argostoli.
At the north end of the island you will find the traditional settlement, which has developed a lot in the past few years turning into a holiday spot well worth visiting. It was named after the Norman sovereign Roverto Giiskardo (1085 A.C.) Being the only village to remain intact after the 1953 earthquakes, it has managed to preserve its original architectural style. There are ferryboats on a daily basis, taking you as far as Vasiliki (Lefkas). |
