They have about 500 residents and they are located on the east side of the island. Planos is 5 km away from the capital, 2 km less than Tsilivi.

If you take the main road north of the capital and keep going for about 5 km, you will come upon the village of Planos and Tsilivi beach, famous for its shallow waters and silky sands. This place is quite touristy. The valley that stretches out to the east, starting at the foot of mount Vrahionas (756m tall), takes up all of the north and west side of the island and goes as far as Laganas gulf. It encompasses numerous villages and settlements that are linked to each other with a very good road network.
