| Aegina is known as the ‘peanut island’ because it is simply overrun by peanut trees. It is the second biggest island in the gulf of Saronikos and has a very important historical past behind it. Aegina has a lot of picturesque little villages brimming with plantation, lovely beaches and interesting archaeological sights. The landscape is truly inviting, studded with snow-white little churches and picturesque fishing villages. In general, all of the sights this island has to offer are sure to please whoever visits them. |
