Archangelos is one of the bigger villages on Rhodes, with some 6,ooo inhabitants. It lies to the east part of the island, about 29 km from the town of Rhodes.
The attractive village of Archangelos is located south of the City of Rhodes, on the eastern cost of the island. It's a mountainous village, one of the biggest villages of the island, full of olive trees, vineyards and fruit-bearing trees and the villagers are in the production of agricultural products. Archangelos consists of the old village around which is the new village. Many archaeological sites have been found in this area. |

| Worth seeing |
•Worth seeing is the castle dated from the Byzantine period and restored in 1320 by the knights of Saint John. •Worth-seeing is the Church of the Archangel Michael. •Tsambika Monastery, at a magnificent site, looking out on the Tsambika beach. •The new Monastery of the Tsambika Virgin, at a spot full of pine-trees and shrubs. •The Epta Piges - "the Seven Springs" - an area close to Archangelos with clears springs and covered with many trees. It is worth visiting the cave of Koumelos famous for its extraordinary stalactites and the archaeological finds. |

•At Tsambika beach. This beautiful and naturally landscaped beach, offers crystal clear not deep waters and a nice golden sandy beach that makes it ideal for the whole family. •At Stegna beach is located at the East Cost approx. 2 km away from Archangelos. It's a sandy beach with some pebbles. |
