Nea Apollonia

Nea Apollonia counts about 1.700 permanent residents, lies to the south - east of the Prefecture and is 55 km from Salonica.

Going from Salonica to the second lake, the traveller finds the village of Nea Apollonia. The ancient city was built by Philip II. Today it's a very fertile plain near the lake of Volvi.
