 Zagora counts about 3.500 permanent residents; it lies to the northeast of Pelion and is 48 km from Volos. Zagora is Pelion's largest village aand its haven is Horefto. This village offers a variety of scenery: it has a luxuriant vegetation of chestnut trees and plane trees as well as running waters. Zagora is Greece's largest producer of apples, which are harvested mid-September to mid-October when the village is particularly busy. In all the crossroads that lead to the village, you will probably see the producers selling their products.
