Marathi is only 7km from the capital and 4km from Kostos. Discover ancient marble quarries, mines and the statue of the Nymph at the entrance of one of the caves. They have been saved for 3000 years, 5km out from Parikia on the road to Lefkes. Parian marbles are still a point of research and international wonder. Noteworthy are the monastery of Agio Mina and the convent of the Panagia Theofanou.
