Piso Livadi is a pure holiday town, 21 km from Parikia with the necessary infrastructure, to satisfy even the most demanding visitor. Each year the town holds a religious festival to celebrate the Ascension of Christ. It offers seafood, wine and ‘tsikoudia’- a rather strong, clear alcohol. During the summer months, the village is the seaport of Marpissa and is connected with the Cycladic islands of Naxos, Santorini, Ios, Mykonos, and Antiparos.
