This village counts about 600 permanent residents and lies on the bay of Agio Oros (Holy Mountain). A ferry boat links Ammouliani and Trypiti daily.
The village was built on the island of Ammouliani; it's a peaceful small island, full of vegetation with olive trees. There is no sign of methodical farming; therefore, the ecosystem is intact and protected. The island has many natural harbours and other smaller islands which function as wave breakers and protect the boats. There are lovely creeks and beautiful sandy beaches to the use of the tourists. Every year, Ammouliani hosts thousands of tourists from Greece and abroad.
