It has about 500 residents and it is located on the southeastern side of the island, 22km away from Mytilini.

It is a traditional-style village, built 300m above sea level at the foot of mount Olympus. You will find it on your way to Agiasos, past Keramia. The village owes its special beauty to the narrow streets and the old houses made of stone, several of which have now been renovated. You can buy beautiful hand-weaved fabrics, traditional sculptures and tasteful baskets at the Women’s Association of Agricultural Tourism of Asomatos.
