It has about 400 residents and it is located on the west side of the island, 92km away from Mytilini.

Sigri is the westernmost settlement of Lesvos, built in the middle of a volcanic landscape with low vegetation. The tiny rocky islands right across the beach function as windbreakers and there are lots of fossilized trees on them. The waters are crystal clear and the village is quite popular with tourists.
